Use measured consumption or selected manufacturer data at expected site load.

Assumptions

Nominal tank: 240 litres.
Reserve and unusable volume: 20 percent.
Verified consumption at expected load: 8 litres per hour.

Calculation steps

Usable fuel: 240 × 0.80 = 192 litres.
Screening autonomy: 192 ÷ 8 = 24 hours.
Check cold starts, testing, idling, temperature and ageing.
Set low-fuel and replenishment triggers for real delivery lead time.

Important boundary: Do not use full geometric volume as usable fuel. Confirm local storage, fire and environmental rules.
