Overspeed alarms can be caused by actual speed control problems, incorrect controller settings or speed sensing faults.
Check frequency readings, magnetic pickup wiring, controller parameters and governor behavior. Do not repeatedly restart the unit without diagnosis.
After correction, test under controlled conditions and record speed, frequency and alarm history.
