Grounding design should follow local electrical rules and the project engineer's specification. The goal is to reduce shock risk, support protection devices and stabilize the electrical system.
Generator neutral treatment depends on the site distribution design. Do not assume every standby installation uses the same neutral bonding method.
Before handover, record grounding resistance, cable size, bonding points and protection device settings for future maintenance.
