A generator installation should start with load requirements, site access, airflow, fuel safety and local electrical rules. The generator room or outdoor location must allow maintenance access on all service sides.
For indoor installations, ventilation is often the most important design point. The room needs enough fresh air for combustion and radiator cooling, and hot air must be discharged without recirculation.
Before commissioning, check fuel lines, battery cables, coolant, oil level, grounding, exhaust support, emergency stop and ATS wiring. A load test is recommended before handing the system to the user.
